Hi So-Good, I have a story that is the truth with my hand held up, as an old story teller used to say. I sang with a gospel group from Jackson Ms. The tenors name was Johnny Ray, and he had to be kin to Joe Bob.

We sang a song about Jesus taking the sting of death away. I had just started singing with the group and noticed that the tenor had a slight lisp in his voice. I thought nothing of it because he had just had his new teeth put in.

One night at a concert, I listened close to the words of that song, and it sounded like Johnny Ray was singing something other than the STING of death. I asked one of the other singers to listen as he sang that word, because it was difficult to understand all that he sang with a lisp.

So after the concert we asked Johnny Ray what were the words to that song? He said that Jesus would take away the STINK of death. After a brief explanation of the scriptures I began to think of what was going thru his mind as he sang that song? He was very charismatic and would really get into a song. He was praising God for taking away the STINK. I guess one could dig up folks who have gone on and they would not stink?

Now that we have evolved into a greater understanding I urge everyone to be one with the STINK.(ha)
