Scarlet...there is so much about the crucifixion that...well...I just don't 'see' it in the same way anymore.

There was no 'sin' to 'forgive' in the crucifixion...not really. It is the whole 'sin and salvation' idea upon which all the sacrifices (and Christianity) were built...beginning in Genesis 3.

If someone needs to hear 'I forgive you.'...then I shall certainly say it to that one. Often it seems that to such a one, saying, 'I am not, was not offended by you or what you said/did' does not 'free' them from their perception that I had taken offense ...because of the 'offense' they 'saw' in my reaction to their words/acts.

Being 'misunderstood' happens to all of us. That's why so many keep explaining their words/actions, to preclude being 'misunderstood'. But 'explaining' is just an 'act of ego', and is 'needed' only by the one who 'sees' offense.

Men are gonna think and do what men are gonna think and do. All is well. All is as it should be.

Blessings!
