Here is a story about a sufi who dared to call himself God:

"A Sufi was stoned to death and went to heaven. Not long after, a man who had witnessed that death also died and went to heaven. He was very indignant to find that Sufi was also there. He inquired of God, " Why is this Sufi here in heaven, and the Sultan who called himself the same thing is in hell? God replied, "when the Sultan said he was God, he was thinking of himself. When the Sufi called himself God, he was thinking of Me."

The cause of sin is that separation that comes when the "I AM" becomes "I am Stephen," The moment this I imagines it's own impossible separation, it enters into psychological suffering and inevtable death. No form or body can hold this consciousness separate from it's source for ever, not even that man that perfected himself. Even He had to ascend back to His source.

When we discover who we are as this "I" behind all "I's", we instantly ignite. But it takes a long time for wet wood to become dry wood. That is why we type so much, in hope that some may dry enough, for that Holy Spark of Divine Grace to ignite false identity.
