Ron, I cannot speak to your understanding of why I respond to the posts you bring to my threads as I do. What I can do is give you my understanding, and if you care to dialogue with me about my understanding, I would welcome the opening of this door. If not, hey, spirit moves on regardless!
Ron, I am on a path of dying for Christ, the Christ that liveth in me and speaks of this dying. The death of Pam is my whole purpose for coming into this realm of flesh, of matter. It literally consumes my every moment; this is what you hear pouring forth from my words. I write from my living experience of being consumed of my flesh thoughts, the horizontal being dissolved of the vertical. No where in my words do you see my identification with the horizontal world of matter-making; every post I write on STS is my oneness with the vertical of the Christ who liveth in me, who liveth in me by way of The Comforter, thought/words given of the law of the Spirit of life to the obedient spirit of being consumed of its attachment to the temporal, duplicate world of human thought/words/ideas.
From where I sit, it is your definition of the Comforter and of the Christ that is the shadow of misunderstanding that you bring to my posts. I say this, because the comfort that you bring with your words, the encouragement of which you speak, is of human comfort, the very way of thinking that is of the horizontal path of good and evil thinking. Can you not see how these words offer me nothing? The horizontal path of humanism is dead and gone to me as a way of defining who and what I Am. I have told you this in many ways and still, you bring your horizontal good and evil interpretations of the Christ to me and then, express surprise when my vertical Christ of obedience to being consumed consumes your human words of 'encouragement' to Pam.
The Comforter of the Christ is The Comforter of thought that points to the invisible, no exceptions. This is what being obedient to the Christ within you means. At times, this thought appears strict and harsh, for its very purpose is to loosen one's attachment to seeing God as a duplicate world of visible manifestation. Chatz' analogy of the coach having to follow the rules of the game rather than break the rules and be 'kind' is a perfect human analogy of the strictness of The Comforter of the Spirit of the Christ of duality-consummation. This strict obedience to the vertical path is not understood by those who love God humanly, rather it is the rod of Light Itself, calling to the spirit to stand erect on what they know to be true of the Kingdom of God.
Lots of words, again, but hopefully a bridge of understanding of the difference in our understandings of love and of comfort.
